The angels from above took Walter Murray Southworth, 68, home on April 4, 2003. He was born in Bumpass, Va. to Walter Mac and Fannie, who preceded him in death. Mr. Southworth was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his first wife of 22 years, Gisela, and his second wife of 16 years, Kathleen. Also left behind are his two daughters and two sons, Gail Sue Gammon and her husband, Jimmy, Patricia Anne Jarvis, Thomas Michael Southworth and his wife, Michelle, and Mark Steven Southworth; five grandchildren, C. J., Christopher, Justin, Jeremy, and Sara; and his two special cats, Samantha and Snowy. A memorial service will be Thursday, April 10, at 11 a.m., Graceland Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment will be private. Please no flowers. Contributions may be made to Graceland Baptist Church Building Fund.
