SCHMIDT, Peter, 57, died after a brief illness April 26, 2016, in Chesterfield. He is survived by his wife, Polly; mother, Emily; brother, Rob; sisters, Fran and Corinne; many nephews and nieces; and his in-laws, Bob and Jo Ann Lind. A tireless disciple of Jesus Christ, "Bit Pete" worked in IT, started a children's charity, and served as a lay preacher and Bible study leader. A memorial service will celebrate his big-hearted life at 3 p.m. May 20, at Graceland Baptist Church.
